My First Practice Sock

While waiting for my new EFG Sock Loom to get here, I've decided to practice using my SG Preemie Hat Loom and worsted weight yarn.

I'm using Isela's Ribbed Sock Pattern but with a garter stitch heel.

The only part I see that I'm not really happy with is my Kitchener Stitch. It seems that somehow when I transferred the stitches to needles I did something wrong ... there is a twist to the stitch. Hopefully I will be able to correct this on the second sock.

I'd like to thank Tracey for all the help and helpful information she has been sharing with us all.

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Robin your practice sock looks great. I love your Kitchener stitch, it looks better than what I've been doing. :)

Tracey ... Thank you so much your so kind. I don't think it looks better then what you have done ... however your comment makes me feel that it's not so bad. ;)

Isela ... Thank you for the link I'm gonna take a look at it. I think I know where I went wrong when moving the stitches to the needles ... I started both needles in the same place working to the half way mark ... I think each needle needs to pick up on opposite ends to keep the stitches from being twisted on the one needle.

Once again thanks again to both of you for all the inspiration. Now once I get my loom and start making socks I'll be pestering you two for places to get great sock yarn.
